What it trains
Spatial. This is a walking version of the Corsi block-tapping task from 1972, still used in neuropsychology to measure spatial span. Typical adults manage sequences of 5 to 6 blocks. Paths are kinder than random blocks because each step constrains the next, and your brain happily exploits that structure.
