What it trains
Spatial. This test is famous because a chimpanzee won it. In 2007, Inoue and Matsuzawa reported that a young chimp named Ayumu recalled masked numeral positions faster and more accurately than university students. Humans catch up with practice, which makes this game a fair fight you can actually train for.
